Ms. Pahel began her career in 1989 as Executive Spa Director at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa and led the property to a “Top Ten Spas” ranking by Conde Nast Gold List. She also worked with thirteen different owners to build spas, fitness centers and salons including the Arizona Biltmore Resort, The Spa at Caesar’s Palace, Turnberry Isle Resort & Spa, Lowes Hotel & Spa, St. Andrews Country Club & Spa and Deer Lake Lodge & Spa. Ms. Pahel was named American Spa’s 2019 Spa Director of the Year and has been committed to having a prominent voice in the spa & wellness industry,  serving on the International Spa Association Board for four years. She is a Global Wellness Summit Ambassador, participates in the Global Wellness Summit annually and is currently the Director of Education for the SESPAA as well as serving on the Forbes Advisory Board.

Ms. Pahel has been innovating her entire career and has been continuously elevating the spa and wellness experience at Carillon Miami Wellness Resort since 2018 as the VP of Spa & Wellness Operations. With her forward-thinking approach and strategic partnerships with leading global technology brands she has brought almost a million dollars in cutting edge technology and touchless wellness experiences during a time when people are seeking different types of wellness services. Ms. Pahel strategically developed new revenue streams, increasing profitability and continues to enhance the guest experience more and more.
